So, what happened to the fans choices on the tour? WWTLF I'd of thought would have been one, and maybe STL and SSOR, but surely that wasn't it? Or maybe it was......

The thing to remember is that the bands two biggest selling albums are Greatest Hits one and two. Their for a lot of the sugestions for the set may have come from people who own these two albums.
At a guess they would have already put together a short list, WWRY, WATC, BORHAP, ABTD, LOML, CLTCL, RGG, ect
No doubt that these songs, plus others would have appeared on a number of peoples lists too.
So if they then decided to have four or five songs picked by the fans, apart from the ones already picked, in the set list it is conceivable that the most popular songs in such a list could be KYSA, SSOR, WWRY(fast) SBTL, and WWTLF.
The choice of songs is huge, so the chances of a large number of people picking the same 70's classics are slim.
I think they did play a fan favourite set, it just wasn't so obvious to those who's song lists weren't picked by the band.

Lighten up Moog, your fangs are showing again.
Now....
Going back to the songs ... Dragon Attack made it to the stage so I wondered if that had been a much requested fan pick. Also, Get Down Make Love instrumental was worked into the mix ...... Now next time please ... just let it be the ENTIRE song. C'mon, the crowd would love it!

Not deserving of a 'serious discussion' thread...

Get Down Make Love would have been great for AL! I don't mean that in a snarky way. AL has the sauciness to carry it off (compared to the other guest singers Queen has had).

Just pass it up then Moog. Couldn't be easier.
Now, back to GDML. You are so right AM. It would be hot. The Hammy crowd would go nuts.

Realistically speaking, all the songs they played were probably requested dozens of times. And when you think about it, (some of) the set list was more at the obscure end of the 'greatest hits', some of which they hadn't played since 1979. So that's kind of cool when you think of it that way.

Its a pity they didnt include more songs from The Miracle and Innuendo. Or Made in Heaven
An opportunity missed imho

Maybe the way to have done it would have been to play the biggest hit single from each album and a more classic album track from each album
But if you didn't include Flash Gordon and The Cosmos that would still be 28 songs plus Brian and Roger's solos.
This of course still wouldn't please everyone because so many of us would have a different view as to what the classic album tracks should be! And it would also mean that the set would be very long.
When you Start looking at what the band have to make their choice from, it becomes clear how difficult that task could be.

Though I would to have heared album songs after freddie was ill. So songs like Breakthru, was it all worth it, Innuendo , the
Miracle , I always wondered how these songs would have sounded when played live by the band...

Whats with all the "would of" and "I'd of thought" ??!?!?
Proper English isn't THAT hard is it?
"would of" = would've or would have
"I'd of thought" = I would have thought... or even I'd 'ave thought
end of lesson
