DO you think Queen should/will get a whole segment tommorow...

at the Olympic opening ceremony? Personally I think it will be a travesty if there is not a deliberate and extended nod and thank you to Queen at the Opening ceremony tomorrow.

I haven't heard that Queen is in the opening ceremonies at all, only the closing ceremonies.

Since they're most likely not playing, no, I doubt they will get a segment.

Yes there was, but the best thing was the huge cheer from the crowd when Bo Rhap started playing - first time during that segment of the show such a cheer could be heard!

Yeh it was a nice moment. Also was it just my imagination that a little earlier than that soem of the dancers were wearing Freddie's black and white leotard?

Queen should have been playing at the end however. Macca made a complete mess of that last song.

At least we have the Closing to look forward to seeing Brian and Rodger.

McCartney looked like an old woman lol he was crap for the closing act, I too thought the black and white harlequin dancers were a nod to Freddie.

McCartney was fine, especially considering he's well into his 70's.

I didn't see it but my wife said they showed some of Bo Rhap, but she was bemused as, in her words, "it had some of Wayne's World in and that's not a British film?". I assuming that they used the US promo video, which is a bit lazy when they could have used the remastered original??

Yeh I found the Wayne's World bit strange too.

Anybody notice Mccartney was using a backing track? His voice was awful as well

Singing with pre recorded vocals mixed lower with a bunch of reverb over them, it’s a trick used to hide vocal weakness and cracking, but McCartney missed his cue so they were out of time with him for a while. meaning You had live vocals, which were sounding very weak and also an "echo" of vocals he was ABOUT to sing that were in tune.

Pretty much the only performer of the night to make a mistake.

Is it confirmed or rumoured that Queen are in the closing cermonies?
