Admittedly I was listening quickly on my iPhone speaker, but I think the audio is at the correct speed/pitch now?

Indeed it is.
I'm not sure if I like the mix. Brian and Roger's backing vocals are hard left and hard right, and the drums are a bit buried. But perhaps the drums are buried because a few channels are missing in the stereo mix on youtube.

That's strange if they've panned the backing vox like that as its not their usual approach - I won't mind too much however as it may make them stand out a bit more, as they are all too often buried a bit in the mix

Yes, it's cropped to 16:9.[/QUOTE]
Are you sure it's cropped?
Have you compared it to the 4:3 release?

Yes. I've compared with the 4:3 release, and although it gained some little information (image) on the sides, that is nothing compared with the cropping made to make the image 16:9. The video as much more image cropped on top and bottom, than image added to the sides.

If there is *any* image added to the sides, it means Queen have the masters.
If it's just cropped at the top and bottom, then our suspicions about the remaining footage are proven true.

It's not just cropped at the top and bottom. It also has some added image to the sides, but not as much image you would expect.
To be in 16:9 format, i think it should have some more image added to the sides comparing it to the 4:3 version, but the added image it's minimal.
If you take a 16:9 image and cropp it to 4:3 you will lose 30% of information.
In the case of this release, i think it's safe to say that they added maybe up to 15% of image to the sides comparing it to the 4:3 release. But they cropped maybe more on top and bottom.

The "added" image at the sides is a result of a new transfer of the completed edit. Modern telecine equipment shows more visible picture.
It doesn't indicate that they have any of the original master material. :(
