The confusion here will simply be that the BBC (and no doubt quite a few other companies) broadcast HD in this format to save bandwidth and leave the receiving equipment to stretch the picture out.[/QUOTE] That is interesting. I presumed it was 16:9 and PD confirms it that way. But doing the basic maths it is obviously 4:3. As David says in regard to the BBC, 1440x1080 will always be stretched to 16:9 for end viewing, even though it is 4:3 by source. Thanks for pointing it out, I would have never known that. First time working with 1440.
Don't worry about seeding. I will leave this run for a good while.

I have had one or two PM's to make a DVD, and I hope you guys do not feel as though I am fobbing you off by not making one. Ale Solan will be uploading one soon, so be patient.
I am sure he will produce a really nice DVD for you all, I am also looking forward to downloading it.

I used your 0000 file with NeroVision to burn a DVD-9 and it is fantastic... for a while and then it throws in 'flickering double images'. It's so close I feel maybe a better compressing program could do the job so I can burn the 0000 file to a DVD9. I don't need the chapters and menus because I will be transferring it to my PVR.
Any suggestion for a good compress program?

I have not used Nero for years now, so I cannot offer any advice.

Mark is right, madamimadam
install those codecs and convert the MTS files using Format Factory, a great and easy to use app and it's free!

I did! Then I used NeroVision again and burned a new DVD-9 and the problem occurred at the exact same spot. I have a feeling I may have gotten a glitch in the original download.
Will you be using the dual audio as well? If so, maybe I'll just wait for your DVD-9 upload. When do you think you'll have it up?

that's weird, when I'm done converting and authoring the whole I'll check if there's a glitch or not...
I'm being quite busy this week so I hope to have the whole stuff ready for the weekend, Saturday or Sunday ;)
try Womble MPEG video wizard as mentioned somewhere in this thread I think, drop the converted VOB files there and don't burn to a DVD-9, just play in your computer and see what happens!

OK, stooopid here. I did all that and have brought the VOB file into Womble (input) but have no clue how to get an output that corrects the problem. BTW, same ghost imaging on there in the input. What do I do next?

as I've replied to you at twitter, unfortunately the third part of the video it's corrupt and couldn't convert it properly... seems like I won't be able to create anything from that share

Thanks for creating this torrent and to everyone involved with the tutorials.
I have a quick question, because i´m not understanding this - i´ve never authored a video before:
The video shared by madamimadam is corrupted, but was it fixed to create this Blu-Ray, or the video is still corrupted but the Blu-Ray plays OK?
Thanks to everyone

false alarm people!
all video files work perfect but I'm gonna create the DVD-9 when I get the WAV files from Terra (she's coming back from her holidays soon lol)
