I always wanted to create a topic where we can discuss about Queen Videoclips, i´m intrested in know wich Queen´s videos were shot on film and wich on video... this topic is more a question than an answer, but i´ll try to do my best, but i´d like corrections from your part:

1970:

Keep Yourself Alive (both versions) --> Video
Liar (Both Versions) ---> Video
Seven Seas Of Rhye (TotP) --> Video
Killer Queen ---> Video
Bohemian Rhapsody ---> Video
You´re My best Friend --> Video
Tie Your Mother Down ---> ¿Video?
Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy ---> Video
Somebody To Love --> Video
Spread Your Wings --> ¿Video?
We Will Rock You --> ¿Video?
We´re The champions --> ¿Film?
Fat Bottomed Girls --> Video
Don´t stop me now --> Looks like Film but stored on video
Bicicle race ----> Video/Film
Crazy Little thing called love --> Film
Save me ---> ¿Film?

1980:

Play The game --> Video
Another One bites the dust --> Video (FAR the most awful quality i have seen for a Queen´s video)
Back Chat --> Video
Body Language --> Video
Las Palabras de amor --> Video
Under Pressure --> Mix with film and video sourced footage
Radio Gaga --> Shot on Film but latter stored and edited on video
Hammer to Fall --> ¿Video? ¿Film?
I want to Break Free --> ¿Video?
Is a hard Life --> Video
One vision --> ¿Video? ¿Film?
A kind Of Magic --> Film
Frieds Will Be Friends --> Video
The miracle --> Film
Breakthru --> ¿Film?
Scandal --> ¿Film?
I want it all --> Film

1990:

Innuendo --> Film
The Show Must Go On --> Footage from various sources
I´m Going Slightly Mad --> ¿Film?
Headlong ---> Film
These Are The days ---> ¿Film?

I want to clarify that i mean SHOT on video, there is videos like "Crazy little thing called love" that aparently was shot on film but stored on video...

Sorry if i missed some video, i created this list using my memory... this is a kind of SKETCH

Cheers And Thanks!!

Something went wrong there! Here's my post:

I've tried to fill in anything that you weren't sure about or I thought differently about :)

1970:
Tie Your Mother Down ---> Video.
Spread Your Wings --> Video.
We Will Rock You --> Video.
We´re The Champions --> Film. (They may only have a copy on videotape though)
Don´t stop me now --> Film (stored on video)
Bicicle race ----> Video (band performance)/Film (Girls on bicycles)
Crazy Little thing called love --> Video.
Save me ---> Film.

1980:
Another One bites the dust --> I'm not sure about this one. I'm guessing film poorly transferred onto videotape
Radio Gaga --> Video (B&W flying craft bits)/Film (most of the rest)
Hammer to Fall --> Film.
I want to Break Free --> Film (I think)
Is a hard Life --> Film
One vision --> Film (Except for the Queen II pose bit at the start, which is on video)
Who Wants To Live Forever --> Film
Friends Will Be Friends --> Film
The Miracle --> Film
The Invisible Man --> Film (perhaps a small amount of video, certainly edited on videotape)
Breakthru --> Film
Scandal --> Film

1990:
I´m Going Slightly Mad --> Film.
These Are The days ---> Film.

Hope this helps :)

Many Thanks!!  I only dissent with Crazy Little Thing Called love... for me it was shot on film and later tranferred on video, if you can see the bonus tracks (in These are the days of our lives documentary Bluray) you will release that the "alternatives takes" have an Amazing Quality compared with the "Conmon" scenes that looks more awful, look this samples: Conmon Video:

 Alternative Takes:    Mmmm i doubut about It´s a Hard Life, it doesn´t looks like film at all  Cheers!

Which version ? The Dutch TV version "could" be film, but I haven't seen it for a long time
Bohemian Rhapsody ---> Video
You´re My best Friend --> Video

Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy ---> Video
Somebody To Love --> Video
Spread Your Wings --> ¿Video?

Yes, We Are The Champions is film, it's part of the 1977 Bob Harris footage
Fat Bottomed Girls --> Video
Don´t stop me now --> Looks like Film but stored on video
DSMN - film
Bicicle race ----> Video/Film
Again, which version ?
Crazy Little thing called love --> Film
What makes you think that ? Looks like video to me
Save me ---> ¿Film?
Probably yes.

Because it's shot on NTSC video and back-converted to PAL video with primitive analogue video techniques, which resulted in field-blended video. The sad thing is that on all NTSC releases, they have converted it AGAIN from PAL to NTSC instead of using the NTSC "master". Probably they don't own it anymore
Back Chat --> Video
Body Language --> Video
Las Palabras de amor --> Video
Under Pressure --> Mix with film and video sourced footage
Radio Gaga --> Shot on Film but latter stored and edited on video
Actually GaGa looks like a film/video combination to me, but I'm just guessing.
Hammer to Fall --> ¿Video? ¿Film?
Probably film.
I want to Break Free --> ¿Video?
Is a hard Life --> Video
One vision --> ¿Video? ¿Film?
The strange thing about One Vision is that the DoRo team used to film EVERYTHING on film, but One Vision has a sort of a "video feel" to it.

A kind Of Magic --> Film
Frieds Will Be Friends --> Video
The miracle --> Film
Breakthru --> ¿Film?
Scandal --> ¿Film?
I want it all --> Film
1990:
Innuendo --> Film
The Show Must Go On --> Footage from various sources
I´m Going Slightly Mad --> ¿Film?
Headlong ---> Film
These Are The days ---> ¿Film?
Sounds correct.

You can also see this on the "Somebody To Love" alternative version on the DOOL DVD, the quality is similarly good, they've managed to squeeze a lot of resolution out of the 2" videotapes. With regards to "It's A Hard Life":

In this screenshot you can see a "vignette" around the edge of the picture, and this is the edge of the film cell captured during transfer to videotape for distribution. Film dirt is also visible occasionally during the video.

Some of the videos may have that 'filmic look' but were shot on video. A technique that became popular from the mid 80s and is still widely used today. The BBC use it a lot for dramas.

IF QP have master edits on film then they would make great HD Blu Ray Transfers. Something which you cannot achieve with stuff shot on standard video.

Again, why bother? There's nothing you can do about a future Queen release. Nothing.
