I haven't checked out the charts, but I presume the other chart positions will be singles charts listings for individual tracks (WWRY, WATC, Bo Rhap etc..)

Rhianna has just got the number 1 spot with a record low (less than 10 thousand units). I reckon for Queen to get to number 79 they must have sold 38 copies of Greatest Hits

:/[/QUOTE] WTF? Are you kidding? Even in the Netherlands, with only a tiny music industry, you don't even get a gold record for 10 000 units sold (that is given at 25 000, I think). If your figures are accurate, it suddenly becomes very cheap for a major record label to get an album way up in the charts by just buying their own stock.
Indeed I saw John Deacon leaving HMV with a stackpile of greatest
Hits cd's

no wonder EMI are headed into bankruptcy
they sent one of their messengers into HMV to "buy back a load of old EMI pressed queen cds" and he came back with hundreds of copies of the universal reissues

These are wonderful news. I love to see Queen flying high in the charts, even if they are segregated charts (rock singles charts).
Let's hope we will still be able to see them up there in the regular chart and with new material.
Cheers,

wouldn't hold your breath on that one
the last "new material" - The Cosmos Sucks
sold a staggering 37,000 copies in the USA - a country of 250 million people - peaking at no47 and only being on the billboard chart for two weeks

Whaaaa? You think Brian takes credit for the songwriting? hehe

wouldn't be surprised if Brian "credits" Freddie with most of TCR song-writing :-)
