Q:Can you tell what's the last date when Freddie recorded in studio? There is a lot of contradictory information about that. Some say it was in May, while others say it was in October-November during the last visit to Montreux.
A:I have asked the same question to Greg Brooks, you will have to ask him. I think October is right.

Wow, October. Surprises me if true.

I think this guy is the best thing to happen to the Queen camp in a lot of time, along with Gary Taylor.
I am very excited at the possibility of some of that 1977 footage being released in HD. Even if it's not a full show, it would be an awesome documentary. However, it doesn't sound to me like that's even in the works just something that he believes would be great to do.

Yeah, seems like a genuine nerd like us :)
Interesting to think what the state of the Queen DVDs would be without him.

So Rainbow is there... waiting to be released... wonderful.
And... there's time to show some love to tim staffel in that thread too.

To whomever recommended it be like a Queen version of the "Kids Are Alright" movie - you're damned right! That is the absolute model of what a good rockumentary ought to be. I was a bit turned off by the "Amazing Journey" one that came out a few years ago. It had a dicky sounding narrator and a bunch of invited wankers like Noel Gallagher and the prick from Pearl Jam, and they kept interrupting the good bits.
The Days Of Our Lives doco from last year was better, but still a few too many tossers getting interviewed. Was I the only one who wanted to vomit on Harvey Kubernick? The guy offered literally nothing of any value and must've taken up around three minutes of screen time, total.
So if there is a God, any upcoming Queen stuff will focus on the old material. Keep the guest speakers as far away from it as possible. I fuckin' mean it, guys.

But any idea when Harris started filming and
the day he stopped following the band?[/QUOTE]
Nope, no idea.
Maybe 'Planetgurl' knows .. ?

Like this bit too:
Has there been any further thoughts to a Queen Anthology project of rarities - studio and/or live -- or possibly a live box set collection of the very underrepresented 70s era of Queen?

All of these things will come out one day, I am sure. We are discussing what do do next. Probably an early years DVD - Rainbow/Hammersmith 75 and maybe Hyde Park. Just discussions. Not confirmed..

These three concerts are the most wanted, so I really hope they do release them. 2013 would be a good year for them.

Man, this is great news indeed.
I just hope that on the BluRay version they include ALL Rainbow footage that they have.
And it means they Have the Hyde Park good enough for a DVD too. That´s great!

I hope if they issue a Rainbow DVD they won't forget to include the March footage as an extra. It's only two songs but the quality upgrade would be massively significant. :)

I'm checking Rhys Thomas' answers everyday and I guess, I'm starting thinking he's joking with us :)
