Hm. I took the OP's comment to be extrapolating from Rhys Thomas' recent comments about the 70s concerts, that Queen's focus in 2013 should/will be releasing 70s concerts on DVD and not touring with AL...[/QUOTE]

You are quite right in guessing the meaning of my theme.

The fact that people have to have a hard think about what you're trying to say through your nonsensical posts is pretty good 'proofs' that you're either a troll or just really annoying...

woulda thought the "later years dvds" would be better...most of them were double disc sets, so there' be an upstairs and a downstairs for you to "move into" ...but only if you took the discs out of the box first

If project DVD box set is true and will come true, I assume first seen and unseen concerts footages will be soon, probably junary-march 2013
I think DVD box "Early Years" will be contains Two disc with next concerts:
Live at the Rainbow compilation both nights rolling to one, I doubt that will be released complete both show.
Hammersmith Odeon 1975 everything that they have.
Hyde Park or better bits or full show I hope and I hope on full show.

I was at the screening and met someone from QPL who confirmed 70's live DVD releases next year. Beleive it or not.

I assume by confirmation you mean a title, release date, and full details of contents?

Otherwise it's just as believable as the BBC album from 1996 or the anthology from 2001.

I DO believe it and DO NOT believe it at the same time. I'm not sure about this all until a proper press release comes out.
Have they not promised to release lots of different stuff years ago which never did see the light of day? They HAVE, and nothing has shown up. I mean all those treasures from the 70's.
Hints may appear in some other news, but it never means it's really going to be released. Although, something has been.

It's a fact that works is being done on 70s shows.

It's a fact that said work has progressed enough to consider a 2013 release date for at least some of them.

It is a fact that there are definitely factions that WANT to release 70s shows.

Those are the facts. They do NOT guarantee any kind of release ever just like the BBC sets or the Anthologies or whatever. BUT given the Anthologies was really pushed by one individual with about two mentions since then and the BBC set talk was one sticker on a single...this seems to have a bit more traction. Mentions from GT, specific discussion from Rhys Thomas, and a specific answer from BM via work being done.

So no, there is far from a guarantee but there is definitely cause for optimism.

It should not be called "The Early Years". The reason being is that there is no "Latter Years". Queen are still an active band and I look forward to many more new studio l.p.s and tours with whoever and however many people!!! YES!!!

All that matters is that Queen members, clearly enjoy AL. And not only are they keeping the music alive, are also gaining new fans. Can't wait for 2014 tour.

And, it gets better, there's two other people living in here with me!

Surprise surprise, that "confirmation" turned out to be just as reliable as I expected...

As reiterated by others above, this should read "..someone from QPL who confirmed 70's live DVD being CONSIDERED for POSSIBLE release next year" - too many broken 'promises'/'plans' over a long period (as recently as Brian's expectation for the Jackson tracks to be out Autumn/Xmas 2013!!)

Out of interest, can you say who it was at QPL that gave you this info?

The thought of different concerts (Houston, Hyde Park, Hammersmith, Earls Court, Tokyo etc..) that we know exist in full, but may well only be released in edited snippets on a compilation, fills me with sadness - hope I'm proved wrong.

So you joined the forum, then dug a year-and-a-quarter old topic BY A TROLL up, just to say that?

I'm almost afraid to ask, but...do you have a life?

As for AL - they can do whatever the hell they like with whoever the hell they like, just don't expect me to care in the least.
