Has anybody ever seen these guys? Are they worth going?

If the originality of their title is anything to go by I would avoid...

You mean "It's A Kind Of Magic" ?
They're an Australian act. I saw them years ago and they weren't great. The singer had certainly done his homework (vocally speaking), but the rest of the band was very mediocre. The biggest issue - they played to a click track. The piano and many of the backing vocals were on tape.
That said - I've heard the name still exists for business reasons but it's a completely different act now with all new members. I've heard it's better, but not by much.

Hey, maybe the new act is a lot better. Go onto youtube and check out some clips. You never know..

Apparently the new members are actually Dios Salve a la Reina, in all but name now

I can't find any reference to them on the internet .... where did you see the information?

Yeah, it's kind of confusing. The members of Dios Salva a la Reina have taken their place and perform now under the Magic title. They weren't half bad, though the thick Hispanic accents were a bit offputting (particularly 'Brian', who sang TMLWKY)

In case you haven't heard how the original QIAKOM line-up, here's a recording from one of their shows I went to:
Gee, the Dios lineup I saw are many times better than the Australian guys who used to do it.

Do the Dios perform the set in the original key, unlike the original lineup?

Yes, if I remember correctly. Their attention to detail was quite impressive, and the lighting wasn't half bad either. The bass guitarist looked nothing like John but apart from that they did a pretty good job of the visual part as well. They were using the right instruments and everything sounded pretty good - this is less impressive if they used a playback, which I'm unsure about.
