It's a bit late for me to make this observation now, but for a few hours there was a wonderful situation where all of jpf's threads had 0 replies.

I like bantering with him as much as the next guy, but next time we ought to see what happens if it just stays that way. He might start talking to himself or something.

Thing is, jpf's been around for a while, and most of us already knew he was a somewhat rabid KISS fan who seems somewhat obsessed with this Monster stuff. He occasionally spams stuff, but as far as I know, he's rarely, if ever, done something quite like this--creating five different KISS-related threads. Assuming this only happens rarely, it's not even that big a deal, so I wouldn't worry to much.

Medusa/qz was just becoming unbearable.

I dunno. I feel there's a distinction between spruiking for a band (Kiss or Treasure Moment) and posting outright lies about HIV on a forum dedicated to a band whose vocalist died from the illness.

Bad taste aside, (and I actually think there's plenty of room for bad taste on the internet) the more often that some idiot posts pseudo-science about HIV/AIDS, the more likely it is that some teen who doesn't know any better is going to see that link and think it's real.

Shit happens, of course, but I don't want to spend the next fifty years of my life re-educating these people who got conned. I simply want to say "burger and chips please" and get on with my life.
