It is nothing less than the Holy Grail of Queen consumer exploitation, more tacky than a noticeboard full of tacks, more trashy than Lady Ga Ga's garbage, camper than a row of tents, it's a whore's handbag of Queen-related tat, the mythical Queen Turd -- final proof that fans will buy any old piece of excement as long as it's branded with a Queen logo.
I've got 3 of them ;)

More proof that fans are ridiculously hard to please and just like to whine and complain. My god. There's a golden orb and a velvet collector's bag! You can collect things in that bag. And it's velvet. This poor band could come out with black and fuschia fuzzy lampshade covers, a ceramic table top fountain shaped like a horse and plastic sofa protectors with the Queen logo emblazoned on matching blow up pillows and none of you would be happy. Sheesh.

where do i sign for a complete set? :-)
rumour has it that QPL learned everything they know about fleecing the gullible by adopting the model employed by Nigerian Scam Emails. Although, as the nigerian scam artists are a relatively new (ten yrs) concept...i'd suggest they learned their trade by copying QPL

Sold out? It's still for sale at QOL for any more mugs out there....

phew!!!! great news! - thought my chance to purchase a "once in a lifetime (if i die tomorrow) piece of queen history" had all but disappeared...
i must be the luckiest man alive...
on top of the original lps (1973-1991), the cds (1985-199*), thecomplete works (vinyl boxset), the hollywood remasters, the island ripoffs and the universal re-ripoffs...this is just another chance that's too great to miss...i mean, who - in their right mind, would pass up the chance to own a SEVENTH copy of EVERY album?

I still think it looks like The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch

It looks like shit, to be honest. I REALLY wanted to like this. I saw one for the Beatles and it was shaped like an apple. Lovely, to be honest. I almost got it.
Then I saw the Queen one and it was yet another disappointment.

But to own all the albums with a bit of red velvet around them - how could anyone resist?

Thanks everyone for the replies. Velvet bag or not, I won't be purchasing (looks like they are re-releasing it this December).
So much archive/not on CD material they could release and instead the same albums are constantly re-hashed.

Totally agree with you. If this was FINALLY the legendary Queen "anthology" (like the beatles), it prob woulda sold like hotcakes... (Or been massively and disproportinately torrented)
But since its not.... What really gives?
Btw: anybody know the sample rate of a typical WAV file?
Is it similar, more or LESS than 320 ?
If it were to preceed the CD collection(anthology) as a LIMITED EDITION, it would have been a phenomenal boost in the arm for the base... Considering many heavy hard line fans would have Rushed to get a piece of it.
Anyways, probably NEVER see the archive opened up. It really looks too obscure and useless for the company.... Pretty sad though.... The island releases waste almost an entire disc on a few songs...

ARTHUR: Just keep me covered.
TIM: Too late!
ARTHUR: What?
TIM: There he is!
ARTHUR: Where?
TIM: There!
ARTHUR: What, behind the rabbit?

Such a great film. Ridiculous, irreverent and fun. My favorite bit is the line of submissive monks chanting and smacking their bibles against their heads
That and Cleese rushing the castle to save super wuss
