I didn't expect to get any further Freddie's recordings[/QUOTE]

There are hundreds of Queen tapes in basements and attics worldwide, many of which will one day be heard. Just because we haven't heard of it doesn't mean it doesn't exist :-)

I've no doubt that many tapes are somewhere but I fear that most of them will not see the light of day as they rot in boxes in someone's basement, or the people who collected them back then do not have a cassette player in 2012 (I don't have one), do not know how to do a digital transfer or simly prefer spending their time with their grandchildren as they are 69 years old today, can't remember having tapes, did not label correctyl, haven't heard of dime, trader's den or queenzone, have lost interest/time in sharing, hold them back as the do not want all those queenzone freeloaders to listen to them... maybe there are hundreds of tapes but maybe there are also hundreds of reasons why we won't ever listen to them. Apart from this Hague 1974 and Yokohama 1975 tape not many tapes have come out recently :-(

Many thanks to everyone who was involved in this! I had a feeling we would see this recording after hearing the sample posted of Killer Queen some time back. It's great to see a recording of vintage Queen, nearly 40 years old, become available for us to enjoy today.

Never underestimate what's going on behind the scenes. That's all I can say.

It has been a very good year for new recordings. Alt sources from Yokohama 75, Monterrey 81, Zurich 82 second night, Boston 82 and Frejus 86, upgrades from Toronto 78, Oakland 78, Zurich 80, Essen 80, Wembley 86 audience both nights, and the Hague 74 tape. About as good as last year's haul.

This makes me hope for more. I didn't realize that all those new old tapes came out this year...

I suspect a lot of people missed shows that got lost in the multiupload and Adam Lambert threads.

That said - compared to 2009, any year may seem like a slow year. Boston 76, the Seattle 77 pre-LP and Sun City 84 all came out in a span of a week. I don't think anything will ever top that.
