Ok here we are Born free as I tunes download...Ok if we wanted a brian may single in our Queen collections i think we would pay to have the acutal Cd in the collection. But we have to pay for a I tunes download of the song..The song ok is a cover. But brian mays guitar work on it is lame, this might as well be a bonus track on Anthems album. Its for a good cause...But as a single Come on!!!!!!!!! Dangerland that should have been a single better writer and better guitar work....And we all know this song would be on Youtube today and anyone can rip it to mp3 for free. So as far as making money for Wildlife etc etc...Best thing to do would be release a CD of the track not a easy way out Downloads for lame songs dont make money. Cds that have to be in our Queen collections we all buy them..So here we are Born Free Free.

Get this off here. Brian and his air headed and disingenuous campaigning couldn't annoy me more, but he didn't offer this for free, he offered it for sale. Real music fans buy music, they don't steal it!

And real Fans have to buy the re-issues time and time again...So think we have spent enough money..It will be on a album soon i guess. So Anthems deluxe 19.99 with a dvd, or 99.99 with bluray.

Real fans don't have to buy anything Kevin. There's some merit to taking it now because you've committed to buying it later - I did that with the recent Freddie bio on Blu-ray and ripped it and watched it when it was briefly shared on line before release, but I had it on pre-order. There is no album to buy now, no guarantee of one and no guarantee it's anything you'll want to buy. I just think there is a real ethical issue as well as a self defeating angle to wanting new material from our favourite artists and then ripping them off the first chance we get. How much does this song cost? 99 cents or something? If you want the stupid bleating thing, buy it.

Anyone know how I can legally purchase this in the US?

If you follow the desired link from QOL and navigate through you'll be prompted to open iTunes and from there you should be further prompted to switch to the UK iTunes store and purchase as normal from there.

Thanks I tried that but it won't let me purchase it from the UK store - it says I can only purchase from the US store and switches me back to the US store....where it's not there.

Sorry for the bad advice. :)

Maybe somebody in the UK would buy it for you on principle and email it. I'd do it, but I'm not there. Not everybody feels as strongly about these issues though of course, so it might be hard to find a volunteer. It's likely to be available in the future, so perhaps on the theory discussed above you can enjoy it now and contribute later. It amazes me that with the decline in music sales record companies let these complications happen at all.

Alternatively perhaps you could make a direct equivalent donation to the organization, and sign their petition.
