Roger's new album (Fans Picking?)

It's likely been pitched to him by the record company's marketers as a way of generating excitement and publicity about the release. I wouldn't read any more into it than that.

Its a sign of the times I guess. Content is less important than advertising/promotion. As I mentioned above, we are talking more here about the method of release rather than the contents itself thus as an advertising tool this is working. Roger is either just being clever and doing what needs to be done by getting himself out there or becoming everything he hates by playing the games people need to play to sell records.

The worst thing of course is that several thousand people are going to buy it regardless, even if it was 70 minutes of white noise. Then they will moan that Queen are being slow with the fictional 'anthologies' that are never going to happen.

Very frustrating for a Queen fan who wants stuff from the vaults.
