Anyone heard Fun? They are incredibly like our boys!

Awesome band.
It's like 80s Yes vocals crossed with Graceland.
And a bit of Mika. But without the screeching falsetto.

Wait, is this the band that did We Are Young? I'm getting kind of tired of that song because I can't seem to escape it, which is a shame because it actually seems like a good song. Don't know that much about them besides that one song, though.

To me, it´s seems like Pilot (the band).

One hit wonders.

^ Not entirely true. I believe Some Days has also been pretty successful. I may be wrong....but if I"m not you'd have to amend to 2-hit wonders...

I've thought the same thing...especially when they start "Some Nights," the harmonies remind me of "Fat Bottomed Girls." I'm not sure if they list Queen as an influence, but it sure sounds like it!

No. They're a new band. Their first record is as fresh as 2009.
And they're on top now gathering lots of awards worldwide. Too
many things to accomplish yet to be called a One Hit Wonder Band.
And actually, TWO of their singles went platinum and topped the charts in several countries.

Wait - so you're suggesting facts should fuel people's opinions?
Colour me shocked.

To call a band "one hit wonder" is not an opinion. If you know
the sense of the expression, and you also know such band had
at least TWO hit singles, they cannot fit the title.

I absolutely fell in love with "We Are Young". It was the song of the summer IMO, and brings a lot of very happy memories for me. Bittersweet, too, as it reminds me a lot of my ex fiancee. You guys should check out the very stripped down acoustic version of this on YouTube too - very nice. "Some Nights" is also an excellent song. Very Queen! However, the album as a whole is very disappointing - too many over the top synths and a bit boring. But that's just my opinion. Heard they're very good live!!

I can't stand Fun, but I guess that must be because of the Glee connection. However, they are not as bad as Scissor Sisters in terms of cheesiness.
