Voice cracking doesn't necessarily mean nodules.

It was the third night in a row so his voice was a bit tired. I don't think it's any deeper than that :-)

Correct...but nodules are known to make a voice tired more quickly:-)
You loose range and control because of those nodules...

I didn't get my information from this page but it says the same things I once read.

Freddie had to deal with this problem and it must have been quite hard at times. You have this amazing instrument but purely due to a physical condition you fuck up lines or your range is limited while normally - when healthy - you can sing this notes without any problem.

To me, the Crazy tour is the only one where FM's voice is 100% healthy... Certainly if you listen to the 2 NEwcastle shows where his voice is so pure, powerful and clean.
