In April 1970, Mercury joined guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor who had previously been in a band called Smile. Despite reservations from the other members and their initial management, Mercury chose the name "Queen" for the new band.

If you watch the video backwards it gives a facinating critique of how France's current economic problems are a direct result of the French having a poor grasp of comedy.
