in ballet the presentation of how it looks is of utmost importance
the balance has to be right
ofcourse it is difficult or was difficult
to get ballet dancers the right size for Freddie
but Freddie could have been Pan and children or dwarfs of slim bodie types (not the short fatter ones) could have surrounded him, of course they would have to be trained ballet dancers and strong enough to lift him.
And they could have perfomed ALL the hits.

i don't understand your point jones, it's well balanced mix of four-piece band where you can hear all the members plus some orchestral bits which are a very nice and light background to the rest. i think it works very well.
