On the magic tour whilst playing Now I'm Here, I've noticed that on both the wembley concerts and budapest (not sure about the others) that Freddie says 'go johnny go' about half-way through or so. Is this a reference to anything, does anyone know?

Could be John Deacon or Johnny Be Goode was his favourite song.

Johnny B. Goode by Chuck Berry, covered by Jimi Hendrix, Judas Priest and many others. It;s fun to check out the 1950s Berry version with the late 1960s Hendrix version (e.g. at Berkley) to see how much rock changed within the space of about 10 years.

Freddie referenced it at many other concerts when singing Now I'm Here.

The first time I ever heard it was at the Kampuchea gig in 79. It could be for John Deacon or as others have stated maybe Johnny B Goode.

Because the guitar solo in Now I'm Here is based on Chuck Berry's famous riff.

If you listen, at 3.54... it is a direct lift from Johnny B Goode
