In a move that will disappoint Queen fans around the world Queen manager Jim Beach announced the cessation of all plans to release the historic Queen concert from 1974 known as "Live At The Rainbow".
The band recently did allow the release of one of their historic shows recorded in Hungary during Queen's last tour with dynamic frontman Freddie Mercury, who died of complications from AIDS in 1991. The multi-format release "Queen- Hungarian Rhapsody: Live In Budapest 1986" was released this past November and has sold 41,978,032 copies since it's November 2012 street date.
When asked why the band decided to cancel plans of the eagerly-awaited "Rainbow 1974" release, Queen drummer and seal clubber Roger Taylor explained: "Our contract with Freddie's estate states that there is no Queen without Freddie's mustache. We consulted various video editing experts in hopes of finding a way to alter the video footage to include that essential mustache but we are told it simply isn't possible due to the format the video was shot in."
Freddie's mustache, which has been preserved alive in it's entirety since the singer's tragic death at the British Museum Of Natural Arts, refused comment. Sources speaking to museum personnel say the mustache has retired and has no desire to be in public life.

On the one hand is that in the main we have releases or re-issue of concerts "mustachioed period," it is not surprising that in the period from 1991 to 2012 was not released concerts in period "Young and long-haired."

That's what Gary told me. Concert in Rio de Janeiro despite not brilliant quality filming was of great interest (Roger was against) in terms of the release. The decision to release this concert was not an easy decision for Brian because he originally wanted to release the Rainbow concert in the theater, but then found out that it takes a lot more work. Concert in Rio was decided to release as box set. Probably the work of the concert will start in February, and the release is scheduled for a May
