The strongest image was the long haired early years
but then the short haired late 70's was probably his best look,
It was also the reason i saw that Joseph Gordon Levitt could be perfect to play him in the movie, but then in a even more uncanny way the crazy running off stage John did and the overall sense of humour matches Joseph Gordon also.

I don't really see it. The expression in their faces alone is entirely different.
Loved 'The Works' look, and he was usually smiling for a change.
I thought both things were a huge plus for J.D.
