This is a couple of mails of provenance.
This "Cool Cat" is another of those Fanthology tracks. The cell-phone noise pollution is not on the original track - but was accidently transferred when a text message was received during the Windows PC CD recording process. The polluted CD was uploaded to the exclusivity of the Fanthology (as a pre-cursor to the original) and was downloaded by David R. Fuller. Now, I am not saying that David personally uploaded this track, but it is certainly his baby, and comes from his version.
The original "unpolluted version" remains unreleased.

Finally; as to the ethics of a Fanthology? Well that is the $1 million question.
I have always pointed out in the past that these rarities are legally available to everyone. Again I list the above example.

Now; if I buy this (and there is a very strong possibility I will), I have purchased not for ownership - but to hear the thing. If it is different great; if it isn't that is my loss - but it was my gamble.
Being a collector is not a dirty word. It is not a contagious disease.
Collectables are out there, if you are willing to pay for them.
