Queen having tear-jerker songs in their catalogue is inevitable, considering they continued to put stuff out soon before and after Freddie's passing. There's probably been a thread (or threads) similar to this before, but not in my time here as far as I can remember, so I figured I'd put it out there.
Mother Love is probably the most obvious candidate for me, it's a very melancholic song to begin with, with very moving (and excellent) guitar and vocal parts, added to the fact that it was recorded hastily in the last months of Freddie's life.
Close behind that would be Nevermore and All Dead, which I find quite depressing, especially Nevermore, which unlike some of their songs, doesn't come to any sort of 'happy ending', and doesn't have a remotely triumphant or dramatic feel to it, unlike Somebody To Love for example.
Anyway, I'm interested to see what you guys think. What Queen songs are the saddest for you?

For me its got to be Save Me and Mother Love. Save Me because its the classic song about a broken heart > "I hang my head and I advertise, a soul for sale or rent. I have no heart, I'm cold inside, I'm no real intent."
And Mother Love because its about relief from pain (physical and/or emotion and finding comfort away from it all.

For me, the saddest Queen song is White Queen.

Possibly my favourite Queen lyric - fantastic line (isn't the final part "I have no real intent" though??)

How in the world is Bijou sad?

Musically, it's very powerful and moving, at least for me. The guitar parts sound sorrowful.

Hi CMS Drums
Whoops! Yes, of course it is. I must be more careful when keying. And it is a fantastic line, along with "Each night I cry and still believe the lie, I love you til I die". I can definitely relate to those feelings and definitely what a broken heart will do. At least for a while.
I would say that it is one of the saddest songs lyrically, whereas some others here have suggested songs that are more musically beautiful and might bring up sadness in people for that reason.
Although I think it was the context at the time with what was going on with Freddie that also made me feel the sadness in the song My Bijou much more, > "To live the rest of our lives like true lovers, the rest of our days like true lovers, forever, my bijou".It was evident that "the rest our lives" wasn't going to be very long and that made the sentiment in the song upsetting.
