Both touring this year, maybe for the last time ever. If it was the 70's I would definitely see The Who but two of them died before they got old.
Fleetwood Mac are all present and correct....
Who should I go see...? I am leaning towards the Mac.

No Christine McVie though, I think. That's a pretty big missing piece. Jeez. Nice problem to have, trying to figure out which of these catalogues to treat yourself to.

I saw Mac in Dublin in 1988 years ago. They were rather good :)
Apparently The Who are doing the whole of Quadrophenia so I suppose it will depend a bit if you like that album. TIckets on sale tomorrow. I'm very tempted. They're playing about 3 miles from where I live :)

I love that album. Sounds like an interesting show.

I thought you were asking which band you preferred. ..
Was gonna say
"Geez, might as well ask' are you male or female?'
Id still go see the who
Even if its shitty session musician Pino Palladino on bass
Odds are wherever you're gonna see them is gonna sound better than where I've seen them (Hollywood bowl)
Twice. 99, 2001 two days after john died

There was time for exactly two songs to play on my car radio between the Y and my house tonight. One was Somebody to Love, which made me happy, and the other was Rhiannon. Do with that omen what you will. :)

I've got my ticket.
Are there actually Who fans who don't like that album?

Will anybody complain about The Who touring even though two of their members are dead
Bit like when people complain about when Brian and Roger want to do something with their OWN music and do touring stuff

Hi Mooghead
The way I see it, go see both bands if you can afford it. Might be the last time you can as you say If not, I'd go with The Who, but I would definitely try and not to choose only one if I could help it.

I like both bands, but I would say Fleetwood Mac. I was happy to hear they are planning on making new music!

Considerable point for purists. But considering they all had solo work (john keith rog pete) and didn't lose either MAIN vocalist ... its less of a stretch
Yes, "ppl often changed but when you looked in his eyes. There's a lot you could learn from that silly guy. The secret to him wasn't worn like a flag. He wore it behind this bleeding little badge"
Keith seldom sang and his songwriting included COBWEBS AND STRANGE.. .and...... little else
Loved a lot of johns songs too. Cocaine and hookers (call girls/groupies)
Sounds about right
Pete doesn't play his SG anymore either. ... nearly deaf

Christine McVie is a great songwriter, but a very poor singer. You can make fun of Stevie Nicks for sounding like a goat, but her voice is unique, strong and iconic.
Personally it would be good to have Christine McVie back, but they can also do OK without her.
