Pain/Pleasure is the first one out of the poll. I'm a bit disappointed about this for two reasons.
1: Dat bass riff (too bad it's just a synth and not an actual bass guitar)
2: As his voice matured, Freddie virtually stopped using his falsetto voice, unfortunately (for me, anyway). Although the falsetto in this song comes off as a bit cheesy at times, it's at the very worst different, and Queen at their best was all about being different.

Gimme The Prize would have deserved the prize for the worst song on this album...
When an entire song is based on a 30-second guitar riff written as background music for a movie, and the best parts of the track are samples from that mediocre film, you've got a real stinker on your hands.

I disagree with the above poster. I think the Scotland-esque guitar riff which reappears in different forms (i.e. later in the song it's an octave higher and has a second guitar harmonizing with it) is very endearing, and Freddie delivers a stunning vocal performance.
Don't Lose Your Head was my pick, it comes across as generic and repetitive to me, but I probably have a certain amount of bias towards it considering I've never given it that much of a chance, and I don't care much for the style of music or production. Nonetheless, it's in the lead at the moment for the next to be knocked off.

I went for One Year of Love. One of my least favourite vocals in Freddie's career. I do like the sax in it though, although it seemed a bit lounge lizard for Queen. I also love Gimme The Prize. Its a real headkicking song. I play it extremely loud. Don't mind Don't Lose Your Head, although I take Tom's point about the generic nature of the song, probably to do with the synths I would think!

Gimme The Prize is one of the best songs from the album if you ask me!
The way Freddie delivers that chesty D5, and the epic guitar work from Brian... You just gotta love it!

Don't Lose Your Head is winning right now, but brENsKi claims he can troll the poll and get Princes of the Universe eliminated. I'll wait see how that works out.
