Why MIH & IWBTLY weren't included into FM compilations?

Hi all, throughout the years I wondered the follinwing:
1992, Freddie Mercury album is released with the idea of a compilation of Freddie's solo songs remixed. If the objective of this album was to reach hits of olds songs (due to Mr Bad Guy couldn't generate the benefits expected) why MIH & IWBTLY weren't included?,One might suppose that they would be success into this album.
Could Brian, Roger and John reserve these songs with the idea of Made In Heaven album 3 years before of the release of it?
Same assumption also applies to The Great Pretender (USA version)
Any expert knows something about it?
Thanks!

Holy hell, the Serious Discussion Forum has turned to shit. The first page is almost completely filled with posts from MEDUSA or Holly...not acting at all like Holly. Did he get hacked or something, because it's not at all characteristic to spam the board with posts, many of which are either blank or nothing but an emoticon or the word "bump."
Something strange is going on in this neighborhood...

Holly is just bumping ITWEMBLEY's nonsense down by bumping the non insane, well intentioned threads up en masse. So Holly is your hero for the day.

Huh. I suppose he could have been a bit more intelligent about it, but whatever.

I don't think even Einstein on summer holiday could craft enough actual posts to combat the sheer obsessiveness of the mind that is Medusa. They're bumped down for now and people trying to have actual conversations have the floor and most of the first page. That's intelligent enough for me. :)

I'll try to get that parade arranged for you Holly.
As for the original topic, can't really help you there. Sorry!

Your logic seems to be sound Silver Salmon, although I certainly have no knowledge to say whether you're right for sure one way or the other. The other reasons that they might have done what you say is so that they could get more value from the non album singles The Great Pretender, In My Defence and Love Kills by sticking them on an album which also made use of the rest of the Mr Bad Guy tracks that weren't going to finish up on Made in Heaven.
Since the Mr Bad Guy album was not the seller it was expected to be based on the size of the advance, I guess it also made sense to remix those songs. for The Freddie Mercury Album since most Queen fans did not have the original album.
They then could use the balance of tracks on Made In Heaven with a different production mix to reflect the style of the final Queen album. The funny thing is that IWBTLY, which was such a bouncy track on Freddie's original album, became a much more reserved piece of music with a beautiful Freddie vocal on Made In Heaven.
It all makes sense in hindsight, although we wouldn't have been able to get it back in 1992 when The Freddie Mercury Album was released. But it seems the band already knew what they were doing at the time TFMA was released.

Maybe start thanking him/her for turning you into an actual SBC supporter/fan? Just saying.
I might become a genuine case LOL

Sorry, dear! No smart messages, just misinterpreted the forum name. I saw it starts with S and judging from contents decided it means SPAM ALL OVER. Now I read it again and it's actually Serious Discussion, so I'm off. Never mind!
