How often did Freddie let the audience sing the 'I gotta be cool, relax, get hip, get on my tracks, take a backseat, hitchhike' part? I've noticed from the crazy tour that they pretty much sang the majority of that but hot space/magic (the only one's i've seen, actually) he hardly let's them sing any! It was great when the crowd sung that part at Live Aid

He made up for it on the Magic Tour by letting the audience sing most of "I Want To Break Free".
As far as I know it was pretty common, at least during Crazy, Works and Magic Tours, though it didn't happen at every concert.
For example, first night at Wembley in '86 he lets them sing some of it and at the second night he lets them sing none of it.

The japanese performance that was on rare live is one of my favourite ever Queen live videos.

Yes @ Mooghead! I've always thought the same, almost like a high school band just really getting into the moment and letting lose. Also thought the same, though to not the same degree, about the CLTCL performance on Saturday Night Live the same year.
In Argentina 81 (At least the Second gig) the audience sing that line too:

I recall sort of vividly singing along to it in at least 3 of the shows in Argentina, despite being physically and emotionally drained and CLTCL played quite late in the set. I was voiceless for an entire week after they left the country. And heartless *sob*
