Queen album sales - wiki

I've noticed the wiki page for the list of best selling music artists...

... has recently been edited and altered.
Queen were previously 7th on the list, but are now at 13. That's quite a dramatic drop. I also see the claimed sales linked next to Queen (on the right hand side) is a page stating (more than) 200 million -

- whereas it's often claimed in most places that's it's 300 million or over.

I found it a little questionable, that they'd suddenly been moved down that much, especially baring in mind those who edit wiki aren't necessarily always experts on matters.

Anyway, do any of you guys know of any information about the sales in various countries or overall sales worldwide? - as I'd be happy to put it right it if it is incorrect.

I rarely EVER post on this forum, and good GOD there are some snipey posters in here. If you "really don't care" then why waste your time in caring enough to post that you don't care? If you don't care, then don't care and just move on? This forum is hardly a joy to read anymore for the childish infighting and sniping.

Yeah, this is why I no longer post much on here. It has become so boring and full of shitty posts that I've decided to leave for some time.

Exactly what I thought.

All I was saying was that I didn't really care enough about how many records Queen has sold as to actually go out and research that. Evidently, you don't either since you never even adressed the question, which begs the question as to why YOU'RE posting here.

Meh. Never said you had to.

Queen's Greatest Hits is Queen's biggest seller with around 25 million or so. Not sure how they could have got to 300 million based on that, especially given a big market like the US substantially fell over after 1982. Mind you, most artists get exaggerated on those lists.
