I believe that we see Queen at their peak as a united band, away from egos and mature; and it all reflects on the album with 12 great songs. Yes, it was partly or mostly related to Freddie's health condition at that time and I'm not sure we would have the same album if Freddie was not ill at that point. I take it as a farewelll album from Freddie to Queen fans and the band really worked hard, putting their best effort to make it special. Yes, I would say their greatest album is definitely INNUENDO.[/QUOTE]
So 'Headlong', 'Ride the Wild Wind' and 'Delilah' are some of their greatest songs, both lyrically and musically? Okay then ...

Queen 2. News of the World and The Works deserve a mention.

Right now I say 'Sheer Heart Attack' is my fave, right ahead of Queen 2. I am addicted to Tenement Funster, Flick of the Wrist and Lily of the Valley..... But really, picking one album is like someone asking you to pick your favorite child...

For *me* it's an absolute 4-way tie. I simply can't rank one of these four albums over another:
Queen II
Sheer Heart Attack
A Day At The Races
News Of The World

INNUENDO,
MADE IN HEAVEN
(*I'm aware that this selection relies mostly on a few select tracks but they're the albums I always come back to)
News of the world
Imho innuendo has no filler
Except the soup in the laundry bag
"He used to be a man with his dick in his hand,
She used to be a woman with a dildo collection"
In spite of the hardship looming they had fun with the songs and made light of many things while also strangely making some transcendent tunes
Favorite CLASSIC album is II but that's a sitting album. It's epic and crazy.
(*excluding loser in the end)
