On the 2012 DVD/CD release, the audience aren't THAT loud. Is this due to the fact that they happened to be quiet or the way it was edited?

The way it was edited, sadly.

It's always the editing. Do you really think a Queen crowd with tens of thousands (80,000 to be specific) of people would be shy? The answer is no. For some reason, the people in charge of editing these things feel like the crowd is a completely unimportant part of the concert experience.

I know one thing....its getting pretty old just releasing 80's concerts on DVD....They need to release something from the 70's. The setlist in the 80's sure didn't change all that much......Would love to hear them playing material from there earlier albums.

Didn't change? It changed at least as much as the 70's did. Of course, now having 3 concerts from the same tour, it's getting a bit boring.

I don't really think so myself....You go back and look at some of the setlists in the 70's....it changed almost every tour. Only thing that changed in the 80's is the 2 or 3 songs they would play off their current album....Of course I also understand that by the 80's they had ammassed quite a catalog of hits so maybe that's why there wasn't much change in it.l
