They usually get back to you in a timely manner

I was unable to do anything to my profile (put my information, make a profile pic, make a signature) for a couple weeks after I first made my account. I don't know if the site was just acting particularly screwed up then or if it just has problems accepting new users. Either way, the software behind this website isn't terribly reliable so if stuff isn't working the way it should just give it time. Unfortunately, the two people mainly responsible for this site aren't around very often and either can't or won't make major changes, and we don't know which one it is because they rarely even say anything.

Anyway, welcome to QZ! The site often screws up and the community atmosphere takes some getting used to, but don't let anyone stop you from being a helpful frequent poster if you want to.
