Yes Greg does. So does Roger.

I do... the original recording was called 'The Profits Song' and was based on a dream Brian had where Queen became one of the biggest bands in the world and kept releasing the same old stuff over and over again to fans who complained about re releases but bought them over and over again to the detriment of future, interesting releases....

Nope. I suspect that they don't like to give out too much information anymore as it will only cause grief when we figure out we'll never get to hear them.

Sounds like a similar album BLOOD OF THE PROFIT by PROFESSOR GRIFF

But I hate to tell you this:

1) Freddie's dead
2) a that's what I said
3) queen haven't had a hit in almost a decade
4) they probably have a hard time resolving an anthology release with their distributors.

5) I know it sounds stupid. ... mega band with massive catalogue unable to get a new old volume released to the general public. ... but that's what it's like when you have computational morons with no souls running distribution and analytics.

Things get sold to people with money

Those people don't trust ANYBODY

Hence those people write checks for pEople to do analysis to DISCOVER what people like based upon sales and popularity.

These are the kind of scum that ultimately run businesses.

Dispassionate people of endowment with no talent and no credibility.

No doubt a complete queen (Beatles like anthology) would be momentous

Don't count on it.

I worked for a scumbag of the same mindset

I think his name was Frugal Goldspiel

Or Goldstein or Mesica.

I forget which. Same goes in Hollywood. If an arty low budget flick gets a ton of attention and receipts then pretty soon each studio spins out a knock off

At this rate don't expect THAT anthology we've all been looking forward to since 1998

It just ain't happening as long as the three are above ground.

As for working sketches of the prophets song

I've never heard of this before.

If there was EVER a song to boldly showcase QUEEN I'm the seventies that one is it
"Come tonight! Come see the Overbite! Come to Ogre Battle, FIGHT!"

Variations on Frère Jacques.
No Freddie, No John.....No Queen

You'd think that the archivist would have already, at some point over the last 15 years that he's been employed to catalogue everything, at least listened through the tapes in the band's private collection.

You can absolutely guarantee that John will have loads of demos, working versions, alternate takes etc.. that we will never hear as the two parties simply never talk to each other.

Not necessarily. Sometimes tapes can be stored in such a way, especially if Roger's moved around a few times, that they can be believed to be misplaced, lost or end up forgotten about.
This is the same man (RT) after all who was known for putting tapes away in a drawer and forgetting about it until months later, or so Brian May claims anyways ;-)

Did you know Pink Floyd found the long lost take of "Wish You Were Here" featuring Stephane Grappelli in an extremely similar fashion?? Apparently it was locked away in a cupboard and forgotten about, IIRC.

We can speculate and fantasize on such an accusation, but realistically the only people who would know the truth to that are John and/or Brian & Roger.
