One Year of Love question

I know none of you are John Deacon, but is the line "one sentimental moment in your arms is like a shooting star right through my heart" suppose to express happiness or sadness. I know the song is about falling in love with someone else after you swore never to fall in love again. But any help to what the above mentioned line can mean please? Thank you very much!

the meaning, for me, can bring to the notion "Pain is so close to pleasure", a Cupid's arrow to the heart....

As far as the song is concerned... a lot of people think the Freddie over cooked it but I think it is an amazing vocal performance...

I wouldn't be too sure about that ... not pointing any fingers, but let's just say that even if he were posting on this forum (in this very thread, perhaps) he'd be obligated to deny being John Deacon - even if you asked him directly, 'are you John Deacon?'.

Also, it's about happiness. Definitely a happy feeling going on there.

A 'shooting star' in most cultures is a positive symbol connected to ideas like luck, beauty and destiny. So there is happiness there. But because a shooting star burns brightly but briefly, in this song (which certainly is overbaked to my taste) it echos the theme of fleeting love expressed both in the title and other spots in the lyrics. In that, there is some pain.

And then on Monday, my luck had changed, I stood there all alone... blah blah
