The most personal thing was probably when a bunch of folks here took pity on this person named Arlene who was named "official Queenzone news agent" or something of that ilk, after she mentioned some pretty intense personal issues of some sort. Turned out she was just a good story teller.

I remember this. I think it was wrapping up just as I joined this... interesting... forum. Wasn't it Freya who noted the discrepancies in some of the posts?

Even though it was all proven to be lies, it was still sad. I mean, I can't imagine someone starting - and maintaining - such a desperate-sounding thread if they weren't going through some type of personal crisis. Of course, I could be wrong, but I remember feeling badly for her even after the lies were uncovered.
