David Bowie received his boots from Mercury, that is the thing myths are made of , isn't it? Mercury and Perseus of Greek Myth , had the same in common.

I thought i had heard it on the audio version of The Definitive Biography by
Lesley-Ann Jones as i dont remember reading it in the book version but hearing it on the audio version.

I heard in a documentary or book whose title I can't recall right now that one boot was made of matter and the other anti-matter and Bowie's bodyguards lived constantly in fear that he would jump in the air and click his heels together like Dick Van Dyke because if he did it would result in a massive, earth shattering explosion that would shake the planet to its very molten core. Or they might have been made of vulcanised rubber, covered in spangles. I can't remember.

I heard something similar but it was about his eyeballs rather than boots. Apparently he has one pupil and one anti-pupil and the future of mankind depends on him never, ever going cross-eyed. Ever.
