Can I ask all those who been downloading any of the tracks from the Queenzone  "Announce" section if they could contribute just 79p to ITunes please?

Even if you do not like the track; I still think that the project is worthwhile and laudable in its own right.

I know that it can come from YouTube for free but as I wrote earlier in the Announce section:

Over the years I have paid monies which have contributed to help Brian May become financially stable. But in reality, Brian is lucky if he receives less than 1% [total] of my expenditure on any official product. You do realise that [people like] Fuller [are] making 100% total mark-up in these sales; so those who claim the moral high ground that "I should not have the stuff" are first not only wrong, but second; giving a bigger financial reward to this crook then they are to the writer, the artist and the performer! (Which in this case is ZERO!).

The project is indeed worthwhile, no question about it!

I´m just not shure about your post, because i thought the the question of his campaign was awareness, not money. I´m i wrong in this?

Not at all; you are indeed correct, but all the monies from this go directly to the charity and not in Mr May's, pockets, which in turn will be used to help raise further awareness!

So (to hijack my own thread - and to keep plugging the single) what else can you get for 79p?

That is less than a fried Mars bar... (Honest!)
And he trully deserves all the help he can get!
I know i may sound like a hypocrit considering what i just wrote in the other thread, but i really mean it. And it´s great that you took the initiative to raise more awareness to this cause and how people can help.
The last couple of weeks have been the best in Queenzone for YEARS. And one of the reasons was that you became more active in it.

I'm new here, although I've periodically checked this site over the years. So rip my post apart if you want, because maybe I don't understand the mores of Queen fans. But here goes:

First, Brian could save the fucking badgers with the money he's made off of the music lovers of the world, over and over and over again.

Second, Brian could save the badgers with the money Queen saved by dodging taxes by abandoning their country in the '70s and '80s.

And B, You have to be fucking kidding that you're going to use this as an opportunity to guilt trip folks by bringing up this Fuller fella. What has he to do with badgers?

Man, JSS, you are selling your credibility very cheaply.

Sorry, just saw on Fox news that one David R. Fuller has just released a cookbook entitled, "How to Serve Badgers."

Not sure if it's the same guy, but the coincidence is uncanny.

Shhh. Hear that? Roar of applause.

Absurd. The whole thing, beginning and ending with the self righteousness. Traditional traders don't profit from Brian May? These items are paid for once, if they're paid for at all, and once circulating are converted over and over to what is for all intent currency through who knows how many pairs of hands, to obtain more lucre, for periods sometimes stretching to decades. They need this exclusive material to obtain more exclusive material is their own argument. As good as money to me. As far as I can tell the thing they really hate about offering these songs for cash is that it democratizes the process and thoroughly pops the bubble of elitism. Look no further than the arrogant abuse some are taking in the Announce section.

I would rather be a thief or give my money to a crook than give it to Apple

Paid. I still think it's a worthwhile cause.

Badgers? Meh...
Arse.

Actually; to get this thread back on track... I totally believe in this cause and I am fully against badger culling.

Not because I am a Stepford, but because I live in the countryside, and have always been against badger culling and fox-hunting.
I am glad that some one with the prestige of Brian has jumped on this band wagon, as it provides a high-profile recognition which this campaign sadly lacks.
You really believe that this cause would be more than a few lines on page seven if it was not for Brian May?

I believe in all sorts of causes; and if I can contribute (or guilt trip others into doing so) fine, I can live with that, and if selling my dignity can save one badger that is a fair exchange.

(Un)grateful fan: In another thread you said you accepted what I said about you with "grace".
Actually, I have never witnessed anyone less than gracious. Every mail I write, you come in with some sort of negative comment, and personal attack against me.

I get it.
But your language and deeds are certainly less than gracious... so stop playing martyr.
Now why not put your petty jealousies aside and dig deep into your pocket and contribute to saving the badgers - or - is your "grace" reserved for nutjobs only?

Cobohall: All the monies in the world are less than useless if nobody supports your cause. For example look at the cost of losing the American Presidency; therefore to highlight a cause and to create an internet meme to spread the idea is worth for more than money.

Mooghead: The monies goes towards the cause - not Apple. Think of the poor badgers! ;-)

Now back on topic. Can we please support Doctor May and pay 79p towards his cause (and a cause I too think is worthwhile)?

Thanks... x

Every weekend I drive past Brian's house with a bunch of golf clubs in the back of my car - I hop out whenever I see a badger, I CLUB THE SHIT OUT OF IT, I get back in and keep driving.

Good luck to him on his noble quest, but get one thing straight - he'll never save them all.

Holly Man (Eddie Murphy):

"Every year millions of Starfish wash up on the beach; and every year my friends and I go down to the beach and throw as many as we can back into the sea."
"But that's pointless, you can't possibly make any difference".
Murphy (holding Starfish): Well it makes a world of difference to this little Fella!".

Go on; pay the 79p - You know it makes sense :-)
