TAKE TWO: I've upped these tracks to Mediafire as my previous attempt went horribly wrong lol: PLEASE DISREGARD THAT THREAD - hopefully this share works :)
As I say, got a lot of these snippets on a disc around 10, maybe 12 years ago: some of them are studio out-takes, some are from TV/Radio interviews and some *may* be faked (if this is the case, I'm sorry - I'm not passing them off as anything special). Also, some of this may have been shared before: sorry, but I'm not trawling through to find out lol. The purpose of the thread is:
a) I wanted to share something (even if it proves rubbish)
b) I'm not 100% sure of the origin of some of the tracks and would like some advice
c) I hope to see some positive, constructive debate :)
So, do what you will: download, share, debate.......

10) Keep Passing The Open Windows (Demo)

These ones are from recent documentaries of some sort.

I can share some stuff I have :)[/QUOTE]
The first two minutes aren't Brian.
1:59 to 2:04 is from the album, and 2:04 to the end is from the making of ANATO documentary where Brian is at the board and isolates the guitars.
The rest is someone who has Brian's technique down to a tee and replicated it perfectly, and then (someone else?) down-sampled the quality to make it sound like old tape. There are small hints in the finger tone that reveal it isn't Brian, but you have to search very carefully !
1:21 to 1:59 is neat to hear without the clarinet part. All they did was mute a track in Pro Tools (presumably).
Whoever did all this shouldn't be pretending they have a rare piece of tape from 1975. They should be out there flaunting their talents. Their interpretation of Brian's technique and studio trickery is absolutely flawless.

Ride The Wild Wind (Extract)
Nothing rare there, just a simple "vocals remove" feature using some audio app.

Actually, is absolutely Brian himself playing the same which is in the original song with his own fingers, no other guy ;)
I'm not angry or anything like that, so don't take any of this like an offensive reply. I tell you this because I made it myself from the ANatO DTS 5.1 audio files with Adobe Audition actually. I've done it the best I could, but the lack of quality is because of the source, it wasn't easy mute all the other instruments without having a clean multitrack.
The general sound is a bit brighter, so might that made you thought that the playing is close but is different. The 1:59 to 2:04 part that you say is from the album is from the same source that the rest 1:21 to 1:59 part, from the 5.1 DVD.
I repeated the last part from the Making of ANatO DVD at the end because the mix is different. In the one I made from the 5.1 you can hear the guitars better (yes, some sound was stolen when I muted not the clarinet, but the center channel, so the stereo sounds flat), and in the Making of ANatO mix the clarinet is panned to the left and is mixed with the left guitar too. So I like to have them both to hear different things.
What I'm trying to say is that is Brian who is playing. With that "isolated" guitar clarinet/guitar track I made this next one for the ANatO HD Revision.
Cheers!

Thanks for your efforts, I enjoyed Polar Bear ad Windows (demo), the quality was quite surprising.
