What does QPL have to do with this??
You must answer on your question self
Wow, never seen this before. Shame that Freddie and Brian weren't there.
John was probably there because he wrote the song - but i also recall that round about that time, Roger & John used to do these things in pairs on tv shows.
This is indeed a big moment for Queen in America. It´s the first time i´m seeing the video too, so thank you very much for bring it to my attention.
Cool, never seen this before.

Haha, so true!
Thanks for posting this. For some award shows the winners know in advance that they are gonna win so they will send someone to accept it. I don't know if that's the case with the AMAs, though. Anyone know if anyone from Queen attended the Grammys that same year?
Here's a list from Wikipedia of all the awards Queen have won through the years:

Is that Space Invaders on John's sweater?! :D
For turning up in that jumper, for collecting an award for a song he wrote that changed the whole of the world music scene.. I pronounce John Deacon the most deserved musical multi millionaire in the history of popular music. Ever.
Queen's biggest ever song before Freddie died.. he just turned up for an audition...
A good move when you think about it...
