Whenever I get a PM there is no new PM notification on the site. Is that just me? Or can it be enabled/disabled somewhere in the settings? I do get an e-mail notification though.

Yeah, there's no notification on the site itself, just an email. Don't expect too much from the software on this site.
I think there used to be a time where, when you rolled your mouse over the notifications button, it would tell you if there were any notifications, but that doesn't matter too much.
