I want your opinion about wich member of Queen comes across as the most intelligent one through interviews and footage of them "work and play".
John Deacon perhaps should be excluded due to his decision to keep a low profile.
"excluted"... irony alert... :/
Brian without doubt
Define 'intelligent', if it is about qualifications then Dr. Brian wins. They were all hugely intelligent. Being able to just write music requires a certain level of intelligence (not including people like the Spice Girls and Robbie Williams who have song writing credits for rhyming a few words...)

"Badger Badger Badger Badger Badger Badger - Badger - aha Badger Badger"

absolutely

it's hard to define intelligence mirroring the amount of quality music they provided to the band.
i think freddie was quite a genius for delivering vocals in a unique exact way that they phrase different takes. that's awesome!
in terms of songwriting i think that either freddie aswell as roger did their work on a more emotional way while brian used to reflect his kind of work. john indeed fills the gaps with a phenomenal playing of his instrument (well, at least in the 70s)...
i think the phenomenon queen is based on a balanced way to bring emotional and reflected states of progress in terms of work into a most adorable kind of value.
no need to discuss who has done what in no matter. the kind of individuals working as a group is the intelligence in terms.

Oh sure...Brian...with no common sense.

Absolutely. Sure, brian has the qualifications and is articulation but in terms of emotional intelligence, I wonder. Seems quite intolerant of others people's points of view at times

The question was formulated as "who has appeared the most intellectual in interviews and videos", not in music.

I'd have to go with Brian. Not exactly sue why. His way of speaking comes across well, and I really love is voice! It's easy to listen to and he comes across very gentleman like in a way.

I know, he doesn't have the best memory.
hi, i am new here.
i think freddie is the most intelligent member of queen even in interviews. he comes across as genuine, and has very intelligent and natural responses to most questions. everybody can relate to his honesty and appreciate his ideas. brian on the other hand always feels the need to give the correct answer, the 'desirable' answer. (i am talking about queen interviews, not his political or badger view)
Id say Freddie by some distance. He appeared sharp as a tack in some interviews when he wasnt being flippant , such as in the one prior to Live Aid.
I was being sarcastic when I said Brian. I honestly think Freddie, John and Roger, in that order. I think Brian is a total egomaniac with book smarts who plays guitar rather well. Freddie had drive and brilliance ...full of life and intelligence. I know I'll get yelled at but to go all out for badgers?? At least Brian had enough intelligence to remain in a band with Freddie. Off subject, I think Brian tolerated Freddie but never really liked him.

end of thread, LOL
