Actually I joined QZ just to check out some ideas about Queen's gig in Sun City.
Has anybody considered that Freddie who was a Parsi from India, via Zanzibar, would certainly not be considered 'white'? And yet, he had apartheid Sun City lining up to see him perform? Actually to me, Queen smashed the apartheid system with their show.
What do you think?
I've noticed that a lot of people are unaware of Freddie's background, A lot of people seem to think that Freddie was just "White British".

I think you're clutching at straws to give it a positive spin.
They were hired to do a series of shows, and they never questioned the setting they were performing in.
There's really no way to interpret that in a positive way.
It was all about money and exposure in South Africa, maybe naive, but all about the money and exposure, simple as.
