Hi all,
Not sure if anyone out there can help me at all.
Would there be a Queen fan who has access to a decent, clean copy of the above and who could confert it to a .flac file for me to grab from somewhere?
I'm compiling a project on the band based around all known mixes / variations of The Who's releases and am short of this one.
There is no existing, official digital release.
I'd credit the contributor and would happily include them in the distribution of the finished project should they so wish, which runs to over aday's worth of listening.
Unfortunately, the only version I have is mp3, and I think I might have ripped it from YouTube somewhere.
I'm interested in your project, however!
Are you certain it is the US single mix from '73 though?
Yeah, it has the fade-out ending with the band playing on, instead of Roger singing "Me-me-me-me-me-me..." with the drum roll into 'Quadrophenia'. And it's not the mix that's on The Ultimate Collection from 2002.
Hmmmm.....I'll try to find that then on YouTube but was looking for something closer to the original vinyl from a 'reliable' source / copy.
Thanks!
Was this what you were referring to?

If so, it'll do for me!
