The Freddie Tribute Concert appears to be heading for Blu Ray release.
Both parts of the concert appear to be on the release - one with artists performing on their own, the second with the remaining members of Queen.

Given the original capture of the concert was filmed on video, the Hi-Def Blu ray format seems unnecessary....

This will be a SD-bluray.
Uncompressed SD ..... like many of the SD clips on the Days of Our Lives doco (e.g. Radio Gaga rushes) should look really good!
Fuc... you, Queen production!
All very nice, but i was hoping for the rainbow concert.
Fuc you... why?
Most of the concerts during the 70's, 80's and 90's were recorded in standard definition. When recorded, because record a gig was an exception and a rarity. Queen is very prolific in recorded gigs, other bands like Floyd, Led Zepp or the who have even less gig recorded.
Is not till the middle of the 00's when the great bands began to be film his gig in HD as a norm.
Queen record Montreal in IMAX and Budapest in 35mm film, wich was very original. The other gig were recorded in 480p, is the sign of times.

If concerts in the 70,s and 80,s were shot on film, I don't think the terms standard def. and hd apply. The film will be scanned and hopefully if done well at the highest quality, it should look great. I own a lot of older movies on Blu-ray that were shot 30 odd years ago on 35mm film and look way better than the dvd version.
Too clarify, you do not shoot 480p on film. You can scan to 480p or way higher depending on the format the disc will be shown on.

480p is the resolution of NTSC digital SD video. Most of the Queen gigs were shot on PAL video.
Well. If you want to be precise Pittrek, analogue NTSC gigs were shot 525 line horizontal resolution at, yes, 720x480 screen size.
Pal, of course, is 625 lines at 720x576 - Far superior quality and colour definition!
An SD Bluray though IS a good way to go, although they'll just fuck it up and make it NTSC/60i, thus causing problems for 3/4 of the world who do NOT have NTSC TV systems....

As the old saying goes, Never Twice the Same Color.
