This is one of those semi official boots in the sense that it is not a official release but somehow ends up being sold in official outlets. It is listed on HMV's website in Canada too. I personally haven't got a clue as to its content, but It was released in March.
Queen Productions it ain't though.
Arse.

I am very curious about the quality of this dvd release. It is listed on more webstore sites.

I've seen Rock in Rio dvds being sold as well.
They're just sad bootleggers trying to make a dime.

On a related point, the latest fan club mag came today and states that an archive live video set is a possible future release - just pray it won't be another 'Rare Live' job.

Hopefully this might mean an official release soon - WWRY was on unofficial DVD for years before the official one came out. Gives QP a kick up the arse.

WWRY wasn't unofficial before the Rock Montreal release. Queen just didn't own the rights, the Mobilvision company (I believe) did.

i think the best picture quality goes to the buenos aires show, so i hope they release that one. Brazil was great, but the video quality is very poor like in rock in rio. Venezuela's video is too dark + the performance wasnt as good as the previous 2.

Live in South america with the wrong cover of Live Aid. =) I'm not sure about quality, but there are many labels that put bootlegs in official releases.

Here available for buying:

People, please don't buy this shit. All of the South American videos are available for free and probably even in better quality

I bought this DVD, there are some plusses and minussen for me....

+ picture quality is a little better than my VHS-sourced copy that I already had
+ no logo's
+ no Argentinian voice-over during the show, like on my VHS-sourced copy

- picture quality still isn't really great
- sound is still mono, just like on my VHS-sourced copy
- they made it widescreen simply by erasing the top- and down-part of the images.

It is the Buenos Aires show of 1 march 1981 BTW.

By the way:
If someone is going to try to buy it... don't buy it here!!!! >>

I tried it two times, and they have a bug in their website for this particular item, you will get some stupid Italian concert DVD, which happens to have the same order-code in their shop.

Tried twice, failed twice (money refunded ofcourse), twice I was told they would solve the problem, but it seems they simply can't do it....

Is it Snow Production version?

The understanding is that "Queen Rock Montreal" was the only concert film of theirs that Queen did not own the rights to. It was released many times over the years before Queen owned it themselves. It is an amazing concert.

I second that question... it smells like the Snow producciones but "re-labeled"... What a shit source they have chosen
