To be honest, it's a bit underwhelming

Save your money of you already have it on DVD without the commentary

Who knew Freddie had a chest wig

I liked the AOBTD bit with the discussion about the shorts and the handclap machine. Been a while since I listened though.

the best looking / sounding Queen live release there is, and ever will be. if that's remotely important to you, get it NOW.

the commentary is nice enough, certainly as a bonus feature. wish they had done it for the other dvds

it is interesting to hear how Brian and Roger didn't really like Freddie's shorts - "not his best look" - I think they both agreed. And it is kinda funny to hear about how difficult it was working with the film crew but then later they point out the excellent cinematography!

I found it interesting enough, though not super in-depth.

They talk a lot about their disdain for director Saul Swimmer and how the concert film came about, which becomes of even more interest if you have the earlier We Will Rock You DVD release of the same film, which has a commentary by Swimmer himself. Swimmer is very complimentary of group and their working relationship all around. He talks in greater detail of the technical aspects of the shooting, editing and the band's involvement during and after, in post-production. From his commentary, you wouldn't know there had been any bad blood between them, so when I heard Brian and Roger tell their side of the story, it was a bit jarring that they were so venomous towards him. I'm not saying it wasn't justified, I'm sure the band honestly felt that way, but compare that to Swimmer's approach (right or wrong) to not speak ill of the subjects of his film, even years later, and you see two contrasting views of the same project from the people who were there.
