I know the Born Free Tour did not spark much interest in our otherwise generally good-natured community, but I attended last night's gig and I must say I had a terrific time, in spite of my low excpectations.
The atmosphere was just nuts, as the audience (including I) sang, heckled, stomped, clapped and danced their way through the performance.
Think what you want about the project, but it is a real privilege so see Bri this up close and personal.
Kerry Ellis seems like a nice girl and she is a competent singer, much less annoying than, say, Adam Lambert.
The set has some boring songs and pointless covers, but the Queen material is a joy and for once Bri really showcases Freddie's repertoire in a post-Queen project, which I really appreciated (Life Is Real, CLTCL, STL, nearly as many songs as Brian's TYMD, 39', WWRY and NOBY).
Bri and Kerry were really absorbing the incredible energy and I will keep a very fond memory of this night. This is a show I would see again.
