Live at the Budokan, Tokyo, April 25th 1979 ---------------- I got an idea to tinker a bit with the Tokyo gig. This is my source http://www.queenzone.com/forums/1110600/announce-tokyo-1979-04-25-dvd.aspx  There are 2 versions. One is the full DVD. The other is a compressed H.264 MKV encode with only 1 audio stream. It is 1,06 GB which is almost 3 times smaller size than the whole DVD. And quality loss is very minimal (if any). It's exactly the same, only differences are that it is progressive unlike DVD and has slight artificial grain added, partly because I like it that way and partly because it would tone down compression artifacts if there are any. Notice that there's no added grain on the DVD. So you can download either this version or that version, that's up to you. ---------------- Features: * Full Japanese TV broadcast enhanced (only video) * Re-created song titles and credit texts (see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvfZUdrEA4U) * Motion menus * Pittrek's audio merge as secondary audio stream * Tokyo missing footage compilation by Pittrek DVD specs: Format: DVD 5 Screen aspect ratio: 4:3 Audio: 2 PCM Stereo streams Running time: 32 minutes approx. File size: 3 GB Lineage: For DVD - Pro master > ? > Japanese TV broadcast > VHS > DVD > Uncompressed AVI > DVD For MKV encode - Pro master > ? > Japanese TV broadcast > VHS > DVD > Uncompressed AVI > DVD > H.264 MKV Correct me if there are any mistakes before the AVI step ^ Track list: 01 Intro  02 We Will Rock You (fast)  03 Let Me Entertain You  04 Killer Queen  05 Bicycle Race  06 I'm In Love With My Car  07 Teo Torriate  08 Keep Yourself Alive  09 Don't Stop Me Now  10 Bohemian Rhapsody  11 We Will Rock You  12 We Are The Champions  Video specs: Duration: 32mn 21s Bit rate mode: VBR (variable) Bit rate: 6 467 Kbps (I would have encoded it higher than that if I didn't need to include 2 PCM audio streams. But I think it's more or less OK with this bitrate, don't panic :-) ) Maximum bit rate: 6 800 Kbps Resolution, aspect ratio, FPS: NTSC - 720x480, 4:3, 29.970 fps Scan type, scan order: interlaced, top field first Screenshot comparison: The first is "Before", 2nd is "After". The MKV version looks exactly the same as the DVD of mine, but with 3% grain which I explained above.

You might notice that my version is 2 % "blurrier". That is because I tried to attempt to reduce the black outlines a bit. It overall makes it look bit softer, but cleaner and nicer, in my opinion. These are resized. In full resolution they are available on Skydrive http://sdrv.ms/1dSH9uL Artwork: I'm no designer so please experts excuse me :-) They are available in full resolution on Skydrive http://sdrv.ms/162mpjz Notes: Please don't re-compress or convert this. Otherwise this enhance is pointless. Don't sell or trade this. It's made for fans and specifically for QueenZone.com. It's competely free. If anyone is willing to create a torrent, feel free. I would do it myself, but my ports won't forward therefore I can't seed, therefore there's no use in creating a torrent. Special thanks to Pittrek for various advices, help and providing the missing Tokyo footage. Thanks to YourValentine for sharing the original source. Please excuse me for writing so long, but I think this was all really important :-) DOWNLOAD: http://sdrv.ms/162maVA There is also a torrent made by Bokkepoot. Scroll down the page for it. You can also watch this on Youtube here http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLde9CB1OpQpG71gr7Dw4U0wGciOs2i4EZ Please notice that the audio in Youtube version is slightly out of sync. It's not that way on the DVD. Cheers! :-)

Thanks for all the effort you've put into this mate. Looking forward to giving it a bash. Downloading now.

Are the screen shots you posted above from the source DVD and the new DVD you have made? Or are they your DVD and your MKV?

The colour correction looks nice in the samples if it is old v new DVD.

Thank you. :)

Yes, it's Old vs New.

Thanks.

I haven't put up any screens of the MKV version actually. But I can assure it looks just the same as the "new" DVD, but with like 3% grain added.

Hmm. If anyone else will also experience problems, I could upload it on Mega, but I heard Mega sometimes has problems too.
I really don't want to split this into 200 MB Rar chunks and upload on Embedupload or somewhere because it's very slow for me, for some reason. I've found out that Mega has the fastest upload speed.
Any suggestions?

My download works fine at the moment.
If you like I can make a torrent of your complete share.
I will also upload it later to 1fichier and MEGA for the queenconcerts-database.

That'd be great if you could do a torrent :-)
I only chose Skydrive because upload is quite fast, there's no file size limit and files don't expire. They're always online, as far as I'm aware.

Skydrive on it self is a good choice.
After registering there I have noticed the fast downloadspeed for all the files.
The sizelimit is 7 GB (an account can have 7 GB in it).
I'm choosing normally for 1fichier.com because I have there a lifetime account (=until 2028; I hope that my life will not end that year ;) ).
Mega has fast upload and download speed and you can put in there files up to 50 GB. When people use a downloadmanager, they can download all the files relative easy.

I am downloading right now. I will probably watch it tomorrow. But what I've seen until now, seems a very nice upgrade.

I got about 1 gig & it stopped. Looks like it's working ok for other people though.
