Aren't they just bootlegs, wrapped in Japanese packaging to make them seem more exotic?
They aren't available on the Japanese Amazon, and there are only a handful of (used) copies available in Europe alongside one new disc from a Eastern European seller...

Amazon wasn't selling the albums themselves, was it.
I don't know the details of how the Amazon marketplace works, but surely the sellers can add their own products even when Amazon isn't stocking them?

Bootlegs also crop up in all sorts of retail outlets as well as amazon & eBay.
Both the amazon links you provided are for market sellers within amazon, and not amazon direct.
They would probably get removed if you reported them.

i have bought things form amazon marketplace that were faulty. the original payment and refund were processed by Amazon - as they are responsible for their marketplace, i suppose.
surely they would also be responsible for defective/inferior/counterfeit/illegal goods - and they should be policing their own market place - if the goods are boots?

They obviously do police their own market place to some extent.
As do eBay, play.com and the rest.
Some things simply slip through the net.
Complain to amazon if you feel strongly enough about it.

^ making a point about something in conversation doesn't necessarily mean you actually care about the subject in question - it's just a point which happened to come up from the answers given.
Brenski's OP asked if this was legit. The answers told him no. Any logical response would then be to ask why Amazon are allowing it - it's simple conversation.
You've then nipped in with an answer to that, but your answer has opened the topic up to another question.
That's how conversation works, Kurgan: any answer you give could, in turn, spark an answer - even if you think your response settles the debate.
Why question someone's reasons for continuing a simple debate? It's almost like you want the last word.
