QUEEN TECHNIC: UNDERRATED OR OVERRATED?

Hello guys,
just for curiosity i would like to ask as follows... of course Queen it's our favourite band, but what do you think of their musical technic? Some people think they have even been one of the most overrated bands ( and it really pisses me off!!), other do the opposite.
In my opinion the real Queen technical structure and tune was so good ( especially the early albums), but I think in the eighties they produced some of their own worst studio stuff, strange... even if they kept playing live magnificently!!
