This is a 1993 bootleg, the first time this show was released on silvers. It is sourced from an earlier LP release. It seems to be about the same tape generation as the "This Is Not" LP bootleg (which was missing several tracks) and has less tape hiss, although it has been degraded to mono. Which one is superior comes down to taste, so you decide .. :-)

It's almost the complete show. We Will Rock You at the end of the show is missing from every bootleg using this audience tape, but on this version some between-song bits have been removed, including Brian May's guitar preamble to Now I'm Here. These edits shave a few minutes off the show.

I corrected the speed carefully (most of disc 2 ran even slower than disc 1) and raised the volume of disc 1 slightly to match disc 2.

Domo Arigato (silvers) > WAV (GoldWave volume 120%, speed correction) > FLAC level 8

time: 101:36

Disc 1:

01. Flash (tape) / The Hero
02. We Will Rock You
03. Action This Day
04. Somebody To Love
05. Calling All Girls
06. Now I'm Here [cut] / Put Out The Fire / Dragon Attack / Now I'm Here (reprise)
07. Love Of My Life
08. Save Me

Disc 2:

01. Get Down, Make Love
02. guitar solo
03. Body Language
04. Under Pressure
05. Fat Bottomed Girls
06. Crazy Little Thing Called Love
07. Spread Your Wings (part)
08. Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting
09. Bohemian Rhapsody
10. Tie Your Mother Down
11. Another One Bites The Dust
12. Jailhouse Rock
13. We Are The Champions
14. God Save The Queen [cut]

Good work ! I love this bootleg , it was a great concert, love the improvisation during Dust, SYW, Jailhouse rock....

Queen had fun that day.

Thanks.

Is it possible that a scan of THIS IS NOT lp is availble ? I am sure may big collectors haven't got a copy in their collection.

Unfortunately not.

At this point I'm hoping to hear direct transfers of This Is Not and the original Get Down LP from 1983. It's always possible that the original sources sound better, and I'm really hoping Get Down is at least as good as this and in stereo.

The thing I remeber of Get Down is the low output, you really needed to turn on the volume on your Hifi set. All in all this meant more hiss. I Always prefered the Domo Arigato cd from Aulicia above Get Down. Even Get Down is availbe in 2 versions : the early one : with the couple making love, and the rerelease > 1991 with the Wembley video pictures used on the front.

One of the 1993 re-releases replicates the original cover, so that could the one you're referring to. The one I'm seeking is the 1983 version with the green vinyl. I suspect its sound quality is a lot better.

Thank you for sharing this one! And this also seems to be a very nice topic.

I have a 2nd press copy of the 'Get Down' bootleg (this still has the 'making love' artwork) and although it runs too slow it sounds pretty good. Coincidentally I've made a transfer of it a few months back, so I've included a sample of 'Somebody To Love'. It's a raw transfer so nothing is cleaned up (so it might crackle a bit) and it runs too slow. Maybe it's helpful.

This version is for sure from pre 1993, as I bought it in the late eighties. But, the original first press might sound better.

Very, very nice! I corrected the speed and compared it to my other three copies - it seems to be the the best one of them all. The most complete version of the tape, great EQ, very little tape hiss.

If you bought it in the late 80s, then I am quite certain it is the original 1983 version. Is it dark green vinyl? It must be - it wasn't pressed again until the 90s.

This should then be the definitive version of the LP, so if you could share a copy (speed corrected up 80% of a semitone or not), that'd be great.

Off course I can share a copy of it! However I need to make a new transfer of it. Since the last transfer I've bought another 'Step Up Transformer' that works great with my cartridge, resulting in a cleaner more open sound.

After that I'll manually repair cracks and clicks, and make speed adjustments. This will probably take a few weeks.

Well, the new transfer of the original LP with gaps filled with the alternate source would be the ultimate version of this gig. Till then thanks Bob for this share
